A duo of two like minded spirits, one more rooted in the jazz tradition, the other in contemporary classical music.

They have come together out of an urge to improvise with compelling and complex structures:  Merging composition with concepts and free forms.

While teaching group improvisation at the University of the Arts in Zurich they started to discuss and exchange their ideas and views of sound, grooves and rhythmic procedures. Soon the talks turned into playing sessions and the duo „Zweizeit“ was born.
